Tech­ni­sche Uni­ver­si­tät Dres­den (TUD), as a Uni­ver­sity of Excel­lence, is one of the lea­ding and most dyna­mic rese­arch insti­tu­ti­ons in the coun­try. start­ing as soon as pos­sible. The pos­i­tion is ini­tially lim­ited until August 14, 2025. The period of employ­ment is gov­erned by the Fixed Term Research Con­tracts Act (Wis­senschaft­szeitver­trags­ge­setz – Wis­sZeitVG). The pos­i­tion offers the chance to obtain fur­ther aca­demic qual­i­fic­a­tion (e.g. PhD).

Working field:

The research activ­it­ies are in the area of Molecu­lar Com­mu­nic­a­tion Net­works with the fol­low­ing top­ics:
  • Estab­lish­ment of net­work mod­els for bio­lo­gical sys­tems
  • Devel­op­ment of a sim­u­la­tion envir­on­ment for bio com­mu­nic­a­tion net­works
  • Design and eval­u­ation of net­work pro­to­cols for an Inter­net of Bio-Nano Things.

Requirements:

uni­versity degree (Dip­loma/Mas­ter) in elec­trical engin­eer­ing, com­puter engin­eer­ing or com­puter sci­ence; know­ledge in the area of com­mu­nic­a­tion net­works suit­able to start research in the above top­ics; pro­gram­ming skills, very good com­mu­nic­a­tion skills in Eng­lish and pos­sibly in Ger­man; team-ori­ent­a­tion is essen­tial.
