Leib­niz-Zen­trum für Agrar­land­schafts­for­schung e.V. - HR

The mis­sion of the Leib­niz Centre for Agri­cul­tural Land­scape Research (ZALF) as a nation­ally and inter­na­tion­ally act­ive research insti­tute is to deliver solu­tions for an eco­lo­gic­ally, eco­nom­ic­ally and socially sus­tain­able agri­cul­ture – together with soci­ety. ZALF is a mem­ber of the Leib­niz Asso­ci­ation and is loc­ated in Müncheberg (approx. 35 minutes by regional train from Ber­lin-Lichten­berg). It also main­tains a research sta­tion with fur­ther loc­a­tions in Dede­low and Pau­lin­enaue.

The EU-fun­ded pro­ject Soil Mis­sion Sup­port (SMS, Novem­ber 2020 – Octo­ber 2022; devel­ops a research and innov­a­tion (R&I) frame­work for effect­ive action in Europe and glob­ally in the fields of soil health and sus­tain­able land man­age­ment. The pro­ject iden­ti­fies cri­teria for liv­ing labs and light­houses, aim­ing to demon­strate prac­tical solu­tions. Moreover, it applies trans-dis­cip­lin­ary and inter­act­ive meth­ods for ana­lys­ing the needs for R&I and identi­fy­ing gaps and pri­or­ity areas, as well as types of action for inter­ven­tion. SMS engages with stake­hold­ers from agri­cul­ture, forestry, spa­tial plan­ning, land remedi­ation, cli­mate action and dis­aster con­trol. The pro­ject sup­ports the Hori­zon Europe Mis­sion on Soil Health and Food.

We are look­ing, sub­ject to the alloc­a­tion of funds, for a work­ing time of up to 60 hours/month for 6 months at the loc­a­tion in Müncheberg for a

to help facil­it­at­ing the Soil Mis­sion Sup­port Pro­ject

Working field:

  • Lit­er­at­ure ana­lysis, screen­ing and sum­mar­iz­ing of text doc­u­ments
  • Inde­pend­ent writ­ing of texts, over­view doc­u­ments and lists
  • Organ­iz­a­tion and note tak­ing of meet­ings
  • Inde­pend­ent com­mu­nic­a­tion with pro­ject mem­bers
  • Cre­at­ing, ana­lyz­ing and inter­pret­a­tion of online sur­veys and work­shops
  • Cre­ation of graphic mater­ial and present­a­tions


  • Bach­elor or Mas­ter’s degree in agro­nomy, envir­on­mental sci­ence, agroe­co­logy or sim­ilar
  • Very good self-organ­iz­a­tion skills and reli­ab­il­ity
  • Very good com­mu­nic­a­tion skills, in par­tic­u­lar with elec­tronic formats
  • Flu­ent spoken and writ­ten Eng­lish
  • Very good skills with MS Office
  • At best know­ledge in con­tent man­age­ment sys­tems
  • Cap­able to do team work, flex­ib­il­ity and will­ing­ness to learn about new things/skills
  • Exper­i­ence with online sur­veys and graphic design is a merit
